Assam Tea Tribe Scholarship 2022 23

The aim of the program is to provide financial support to eligible students from tea tribes and former tea plantations. All scholarships are paid by bank transfer (DBT) to the applicant’s bank account.

Eligibility Criteria Assam Tea Tribe Scholarship 2022 23

Eligible for the TTWD Pre- and Post-Matrix Scholarship, Assam; Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Residence: The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam and belong to the Tea Tribe community.

Bank Account: Applicants must have a valid bank account.

Caste Certificate: The candidate must have TGL/EX-TGL Caste Certificate.

Family Income: Applicant’s family income should not exceed 5.00 lakh per year. He must provide a statement of family income to his parents/guardians/himself.

• Starting date of online application submission: 4th July 2022
• Last date of online application submission: 31st August 2022

Selection Process of Tea Tribe Scholarship

The selection process includes the following stages –

• Application checked by related SDO.
• After verification, a list of eligible students will be sent by the affected SDWO to the Director of Tea Tribe Welfare, Assam. If in doubt, the candidate may also be called for a physical examination.
• The director reviews and consolidates the lists submitted by all SDWOs and submits them to the Chair of the State Level Advisory Committee (SLAC) for approval.
• If the applicant’s documents are found to be dubious, the Director exercises the right to return the list to the affected SDWO for re-examination.

Advanced Scholarships Tea Tribe Scholarship 2022

Class IX to X: Rs 3000/- per year

Scholarships after registration:

Class XI to XII: Rs 5000/- per year
3-year course: Rs 7000/- per year

Documents to Be submitted with TTWD Scholarship Form 2022

Pre-Matric Scholarship:

• Original copy of Birth Certificate.
• Undertaking on annual income as per attached format.
• Original copy of caste certificate.
• Original copy of Mark-sheet of the last examination passed.
• Certificate from Headmaster as per attached format.
• The first page of the applicant’s bank passbook.

Post-Matric Scholarship:

• Original copy of Birth Certificate/HSLC Admit/HSLC Pass Certificate as age proof.
• Copy of Mark-sheet of the last examination passed to be uploaded.
• Admission fee receipt of the course undergoing/Recommendation from Principal.
• Undertaking on family income as per attached format.
• Original copy of caste certificate.
• The first page of the applicant’s bank passbook.
